google search widget frozen

The google search bar widget has frozen and will not let me do anything with it. I can't get rid of it, can't move it, can't use it, can't ignore it. What can I do about this?

Had a problem with the widget not working but I was able to hold it down and drag it to remove it. I then just replaced it. Good luck.

whoa... so I just tried again: tapped and held onto the bar, and it brought up the 'add widget/program/shortcut/folder' screen. backed out of that, then tapped an open space on the screen and another google search widget appeared. so I tapped and dragged this new one down to the trash can, and this made the old one disappear. problem solved! thanks everybody! heh
