    Screen Freezing/ Keyboard/ Swype

    Hi Guys! I did a search for this but didn't find anything. All of a sudden today my phone/screen is freezing up when I go to text or reply to an email. Is anyone having this problem? I'm using Swype. I was going to uninstall Swype but when I switch my input to the Touch Keyboard it's still frozen.

    Can't help you, but just letting you know that I've been using Swype since the June beta release and have had no issues, in fact, I can't live without Swype!! Reinstalled it after rooting my phone and it still works like a champ.

    Haven't had any issues involving screen freezing either, and have had Swype installed since May. How long have you had Swype, and are you using the official beta? Did you download any other apps/ updates last night or today? And sorry for the thousand questions, but is your screen only frozen when you try to text/ e-mail? (Ie can you browse the net without a problem)?

    You probably have an expired version, because when I started I had an expired version so it froze up and wouldn't let me type.
    Devices-

    Thanks! I did recently update ChompSMS so I deleted it and some of my recently downloaded apps. But then I downloaded Handcent and had the same problem so I uninstalled and reinstalled Swype then. Will see what happens! I have been pretty loyal to Chomp but don't really feel like re-downloading it and personalizing it right now so I'm going to give Handcent a try again. I appreciate the replies. This is the first time I have had any trouble with my Incredible (I am a former Storm user so trouble was a daily issue) so I started freaking out when it happened. LOL! I just want my Incredible to stay "Incredible!"

    I would try restarting your phone if you haven't, and getting an app like system panel. You may have an excessive amount of apps running in the background, which is eating up your memory (ram) and lagging your system. I sort of started to see this yesterday, but after a restart my phone was back to normal=

    Same thing has been happening to me lately... I do a soft reset daily and I've had the swype beta since i've had my phone and it's the most up to date swype
