Unfortunately I don't believe so. Big over sight with the email on android OS. There is a mail app out there that is pretty much superior to the stock ones and it is called K-9 and it is free. You can get it on the market and really do some tweaking of things. It does allow multiple selections for mark read and delete. Someone else may know something different on the stock ones, but I just don't believe you can.
I don't believe you can either but i'm ok with deleting them one at a time.
Actually, you can. If you go into your mail, hit Menu and Delete, it will take you to a view where you can hit an "X" next to each email you want to delete.
when i go into my mail and hit menu it only gives refresh, compose, accounts, view labels, search, and settings. No option for delete.
Are you using the mail app that it came with? Mine has refresh, sort, compose, folders, delete and more.
That's not for gmail. It does work for other mail though. I need it to work for gmail.
This is true, but you still have to select every one. K-9 give much better options for this. It allows you to batch select etc and no need to put an "x" on every stinking email. That is true mass delete. BB was very good at this. It gave option to delete below a certain email etc.
I really recommend downloading K-9 and seeing what it has to offer. From notification to actual selecting emails it has stock beat up and down.

Strange, I exclusively use GMail on the phone with the GMail app. Beside each e-mail is a check box. Check the boxes you want and you can move en masse to other folders in GMail or delete. Not sure that I did anything extra to activate this function but it works great.
