Trouble with HTC Sync and Outlook
I am trying to sync my Outlook contacts and calendar with my new Incredible. I loaded the sync program from HTC, disabled my firewall and virus program and tried to get the phone to sync to the desktop. No go. I could get the phone to show that it was connected to the desktop but when I would press sync or sync master the Windows XP-SP3 hour glass would flicker on and off next to the desktop cursor and nothing would happen. I worked with HTC tech for over an hour with no success. He then said he would submit a tech request "up the ladder" to someone more knowledgeable and they would GET BACK TO ME IN 2 TO 3 WEEKS! In addition HTC said their tech support is only open to 6pm EST each night so TOO BAD, if I couldn't get home before 6, there would be no tech support at all. (I'd love to see that ad on Verizon "No tech support unless you're out of work!") Anyway, what is the consensus best app to sync Outlook contacts and calendar with the most fields, etc to duplicate Windows Outlook on the Incredible? I can't wait 3 weeks and will buy whatever works best I just don't want to go through multiple apps finding the best one. Thanks for any help you can give me.

If you are unhappy with the Dinc, email www.verizonwirelesssurvey.com and tell them what problems you are having. They do read the surveys.

Actually, I had the same exact problem today. HTC Tech was awesome and resolved my issue really quick. Got to settings, Applications, Development, and ensure USB Debugging is checked.

I heard from HTC tech support earlier this week. They said they are hoping to eliminate a number of problems with the next OS. Verizon recommended I use DejaOffice by Companion Link. I researched it and it seems to have capability beyound the HTC Sync anyway so I installed it. It is working better than my Palm did before so I guess there is no problem anymore.
