Facebook friends show when pressing phone? How to remove

When ever I press the phone button at the bottom of the screen it pulls up the numbers to dail a number but it also pulls up every friend I have on facebook and there phone numbers. How do I stop my Facebook friends from showing without unsycing my facebook? Thanks in advance.

Go to the People app, and then press Menu > View, and then uncheck Facebook.

The above suggestion only removes them from the "people" tab. To remove them when you press "phone", go to menu, then settings, then accounts & sync, then click facebook, and remove account. It will ask you if you are sure, click yes. And they will be gone.

I did that and I still have about 6 names from Facebook that remain when I press phone. Help!! I am going crazy trying to figure out how to get them off!

Isn't there a way to delete each individual name and phone number?

The ones that still show up, are they contacts you linked to a Facebook account? If so some of that data likes to stick.

They were linked to FB. I then went to menu-settings-FB. Rmoved the account and they still stayed. I then went to Best Buy and had them try to figure it out. I ended up doing a Factory Reset. Now, how do get FB on my phone without having all of my FB friends in my phone list? There must be a way!

I had the same thing happen on my phone a few months ago and it took a long time for it to remove the Facebook links, I think when I deleted my Facebook it cleared them though. If you don't want to see the Facebook stuff in your contacts list go to People, hit menu, select view, and uncheck Facebook and anything else you may want to avoid seeing. This is my current solution but I'll look more into it and see if I can get you an absolute solution.

Okay so I just did a little more research and here's what I found. 1) If you go to people, switch to the online directories view and then select Facebook and you can sign in to sync apps. Don't do this and the contacts shouldn't be added. The way to remove them if you have it synced is as mentioned above. From home screen hit menu-> settings-> accounts and sync, facebook -> remove account. You'll have to sign back into your facebook again but your friends list shouldn't be synced to your accounts.
