Swype help

This may be a dumb question... I installed Swype but then switched back to the default keyboard to enter in a password. I tried to switch back to Swype by going into Settings- keyboard- and turning on Swype. But it doesn't turn on. It is still the default keyboard. What do I need to do?

when you start a new text field -- press and hold the screen in the text field and you will get an option to select any keyboard(s) you have installed.
