Unthreading text messages?
I'm wondering if there's a way to unthread text messages. For example, I have 55 back and forth with a friend right now but they're completely unrelated. Every time I try to create a new message (while not replying directly in the thread) it just tacks it on to the ongoing conversation. It's driving me nuts.
I'd like to be able to delete some of the messages while keeping others and start new threads when the topic of convo changes. Any way to do this?

Nope you cant unthread a message. You can delete messages you don't want by long pressing it and clicking delete.

Ahh- thanks! I didn't realize you could delete individual messages without deleting the entire thread. That definitely helps.

Whoa, when I first read this I got scared. I read it as a different issue, my friend has a phone where when she texts someone back it includes what the previous person texted in their reply. I got really scared this phone had that.

LOL no it doesnt have that unless the person texting you has it. And even then it only happens on the receiving end and not the sending end of it.

Yeah, I know whenever I would text that girl it would be soooo frustrating.

Using Handcent, when you long press on a message you get several options -- you can delete from here but what I really love that you get an option to call the messager. Sweet !!
