Turn by turn voice.....missing
I tested out my navigation this weekend and it worked great, even with the real word pics. The only frustrating problem was that it had no turn by turn voice instructions. When in heavy traffic, I like hearing when to make a turn. I have exhausted the battery a few times and myself, looking for a setting of sorts. There is an adjustment to mute and unmute. I made sure that its unmuted and when I adjusted the volume rocker it showed that the volume was being adjusted but still no sound. I contacted HTC and they advised me to download a 3rd party app and that this would resolve my problem, or I could do a hard reset which would wipe the phone clean and lose all my data. I asked them what to download and they suggested I just look around. I am fairly illiterate with computers, so could anyone help with this issue?
Thanks Derek

Turn up your media volume with the volume rocker. Maybe u were just adjusting your ringer volume. Make sure it says media volume. I dont have my D Inc anymore so i cant instruct u how to do it via settings, but u could go into a game and turn the media volume all the way up then it would be on max for ur turn my turn. I'm sure someone will tell u how to do it via settings soon since ur volume rocker isnt working for media volume.

I just checked under sound & display...and the media setting is all the way up.

hmmm. Sounds like u need to make a trip to the verizon store. Must be an internal problem. But when they replace ur phone its prolly gonna take 3-4 weeks to get ur next 1

i can guarantee you that this is not a universal problem...i JUST used this feature to get home from dinner, and it worked flawlessly.

There are like 3 different volumes you have to adjust.
Media Volume
Navigation Volume
Ringer Volume
The only way I've been able to adjust these featueres is to either go into the application and adjust from the volume rocker. For example: To adjust the Navigation Volume, once you've selected your navigation route, and have selected "Navigate" (if you are in the Maps app), once everything loads, press on the volume rocker. It will say Navigation Volume, and you'll be able to adjust from there.
The same for the music player. To adjust that, go into the music player and then adjust the volume from there, and it'll say Media Volume.
These are two separate Volumes ok.
Let me know if this helps.. If it doesn't, maybe a shutting down your phone and taking out the battery for a couple minutes will do the trick.
