Replacing screen, no video afterward
I have an HTC incredible, about 1.5-2 yrs old.
Would anyone know what the problem might be in this scenario? I just got a replacement glass screen (old one was cracked) from repair universe, and followed their instructions on replacing the screen. Now the phone has no video, though it does buzz when turned on, and the "droid" robot sound comes on after a 30 seconds or so. The buttons at the bottom light up, and in fact, stay lit after a minute or two.
So I'm assuming there's a problem with the video. I did have trouble making the ribbon connection from the glass screen into the motherboard, and am not 100% sure that I didn't tear one or two of the metal fingers in that ribbon. But that ribbon doesn't connect to the LCD screen, so should that have caused the video trouble?
I have no problem ordering another glass screen but wanted to see if anyone recognized my symptoms first...I don't suppose these phones have diagnostics built in, like with late model cars where if you flip the ignition on-off five times within (say) 7 seconds the engine code light will flash X number of times, signalling the problem?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Replacing screen, no video afterward
The ribbon cables are tricky. Did you flip the latch to secure the ribbon cables into the slots? They're small and probably easy to miss. Sounds like a bad connection.

I was having the same problem with the white screen after replacement. I tried four screen with no luck.
