Problem: Touch screen is automatically 'clicking' by itself
I have the original HTC Droid Incredible (ADR6300) from Verizon.
About a month ago something strange started happening. The upper left corner (in portrait orientation) of the screen is always registering input. It is as if a ghost is constantly clicking that corner of the screen. This really freaked me out when it started. I thought someone had hijacked my phone. But if I disconnect my phone from any data stream (wifi, 3g) the problem continues. I did a factory reset of the phone and the problem persisted. This has made my phone basically unusable. If I press the power button and turn off the screen and then turn the screen on again I get about 10 seconds before the ghost clicking starts again.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this??
I'm due for an upgrade but would like my phone to last a couple more weeks so that I can save for a new phone.
Thanks.

Long shot here but try pressing the track ball at the bottom center and blow it out while holding it in.
Also if you are using a screen protector try removin it and see if the problem goes away.
