Navigation GPS inaccurate

I use the Google NAV app almost daily. Every once in awhile (today) it has my location about a 1/4 mile off and keeps trying to reroute me. I have tried turning navigation off and also re-entering the address with no success. I was 30 minutes late for an appointment today while it wandered around.

I think this may be a problem with the new Maps update. If you read the reviews, a lot of people are having similar issues. I haven't had any problems but give this a shot:

Download an app called GPS Status (free)

Open, hit menu, select tools, manage A-GPS state

Hit download

Go back in again but this time hit reset. Wait a while until you get a solid lock on your GPS. This usually resolves my GPS when it takes a long time to get a GPS lock, maybe it will help with your location issues.

I have had a lot of problems with Navigator. It doesn't seem to have a "make U turn" instruction - so if you miss your destination by a block or so, it could take you in roundabout route that could (and has) added miles to your trip to get back to the destination.

That's odd. Mine does the U-turn command ok. Except when it is in the malfunction mode I listed. Maybe it's the solar storm.
