says update available...

Does anybody else ever get the message saying there is an update available but when you click on install now it doesn't do anything? This shows up about once or twice a month but doesn't do anything. It's really starting to annoy me.
Also does anyone else have the problem that whenever you go to close out of a program i.e. internet or Google search, it goes the the HTC booting screen? is that bad for the phone or is it just having major problems?
