White screen loop fixed, but phone won't recognize SD Card :(

I had this same issue as everyone else with the white screen loop. Verizon just wanted to send me a new phone and I refused - they finally gave me the keys to push to get to the screen to do the reset. And of course, there is no warranty left on it. She told me I would just have to get a new phone! I kept at it and it finally reset after 5 tries. It seemed to be fine until I tried to put my ringtones back. For some reason, my phone won't recognize the SD card. I put the card into an identical phone, and that phone recognizes it just fine. Put the card in the computer, everything is there. I tried a new card and no go. Seems like the phone isn't looking for the card in the right spot.

I am REALLY a newbie and have no idea how to root the phone or any of that fancy stuff - just want the danged thing back to where it was.

It is an Incredible 1.

What information would someone need to help me - Verizon isn't going to.

VZW refused? They did offer to send you a new phone, you said? Why did you decline the offer? And why not accept it now? Or did you mean "sell" rather than just "send".

They didn't want to help, just send me a replacement phone. I told them no, to give me the keys to get to the reboot screen and she told me she didn't believe there was one. When I pushed harder, she finally came up with the keys to push after the battery pull to get to the screen where I could do the reset. I knew if I could get to the factory reset, it would be okay. As I said, I thought it was, but it's not.

After factory reset:

• put apps back, that worked fine.
• tried to put ringtones and notifications back, and none of them seemed to be there.
• Went to music, it tells me "Storage card missing"
• Go to camera, it comes up fine, click on the gallery, it tells me "No photos or videos found"

I unmounted the card and put it into an identical Incredible, card works perfectly on the other phone. Just something going on with mine.

Thinking I may try another factory reset with the card unmounted, then remount it. Is there an appropriate sequence when you do something like this?

Before you do the factory reset, I would say to try the SD card from the other Incredible phone with your phone and see if your phone can read it.
