Gingerbread update not installing

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me or might know what to do to fix the issue.
So, I have the gingerbread update. The phone prompts me to install it, I click yes, it does the count down to restart and nothing happens.
The notification for system update will pop up again in the near future and if I hit yes the same thing happens.
One odd thing is that if I look in the properties at the software it says that my phone is up to date although 2.2 is installed.

Any suggestions other than factory reset?

I'm having the same problem on my Incredible. The very first OTA installation was fine, but the second that went out didn't take...I got a message saying it couldn't install. Since then, each time I get the message that the update is available, I tell it to install, it counts down to restarting, and then nothing happens. And when I check for updates myself, it says the same thing...that there are no new updates, even though this one hasn't taken.

Thought I'd post, too, since we had the same problem. I'm close to resorting to factory settings at this point.

Hope someone has some ideas!
