Possible to downgrade 2.3.4?

Hello,

I am a noob when it comes to this but I just got the first HTC Droid Incredible (not the 2) and I want to root it. I looked around online and everyone was talking about something about the new GB update for it has some security on it that was called S-on (bare with me here) and its not possible without downgrading. Keep in mind I am completely stock, nothing changed. I want to downgrade from 2.3.4 to the newest rootable update, and I am lost on what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running 2.3.4

baseband version: 2.15.10.07.07

Has anyone found a solution to this or could point me to another thread with the solution, this is the exact question I had when i was directed to this forum.
