Installing market app back on phone after deleting
Hi! I rooted my Incredible with unrevoked, all went very smoothly. I deleted, (using the root explorer app) all the apps that I didnt want.. A few of them I kept a copy of in case I would need them later.. I kept a copy of vending.apk, marketupdater.apk, browser.apk and a few others on my computer just in case I would need them in the future.
The reason for deleting the market app was to make my phone basically business only, with no other entertainment capabilities. I figured I would just install the market temporarily (from my computer) if i ever needed to update an app, etc.
Ok, so now there are some apps that need updating, but cant because market is not installed, so I installed the marketupdater.apk and vending.apk back in system/app folder.
Everything went fine and I can go to market and browse apps but everytime I try to update one of my existing apps, Market crashes
Does anybody have any advice here? I'm wondering if maybe Market is outdated and that's what is causing issues?
Market version:1.82
Market Updater version: 1.0

It is not a good idea to go through and remove apps that you think you don't need or use. A lot of the system apps, even though you don't use them, are well integrated and connected to other system apps and services. And without knowing what other important files you have removed, my suggestion is to do a nandroid restore of your backup, which hopefully you made one after you had rooted. Then go buy Titanium Backup from the Market. TB will let you freeze apps instead.
