Rooted phone, backed up, MD5 checked out, stays at HTC inc. screen.
I pretty much explained it in the title.
I am a noob to hacking phones.
Although I managed to root mine anyway, I think I missed a step.
I downloaded unrEVOked3 from the unrevoked website,
went through the one-click-root process,
successfully rooted my phone,
booted it into recovery mode,
performed a backup,
rebooted my phone, and to test the backup, deleted the "Protector" app from my phone,
shut my phone off,
booted into recovery,
restored my backup to complete the test, the MD5 checked out, everything was fine,
clicked the option to reboot my phone,
and now it's stuck on the HTC incredible title screen.
My stepdad and I tried many different things to get it to work again,
we had to pull the battery for each one of these processes,
we tried factory reseting it through recovery mode; froze on the title screen.
we tried reseting the cache, and then factory reseting it; froze on title screen.
we tried backing it up again, then restoring it, twice; froze on title screen.
I REALLY hope I did not brick my phone, because my parents are already getting my sister a replacement, and I don't think they'd be willing to buy me one...

Could just be a bad backup you have... The phone should still be s-off. Try flashing on a new ROM, Virtuous is very close to stock ROM, Virtuous ROM.

Thank you, we are trying this now.
By the way, is there any way to delete a backup file?
EDIT: OMG! Thank you! It's working!

Glad it's working now!
You can delete the backups by connecting the phone to your PC, the backups are on the SD card under the Clockworkmod backup folder. Or if you have a file manager like Astro, you can go to the Backup folder and delete from your phone.
