Rooted, but questions...

Thanks for the help this weekend. I'm now rooted and completely hooked on learning "how to" do everything to my Dinc! I'll continue searching the forum for information on what I should be done next, but I have a couple questions right now that I can't find answers for:

1. When I use the USB plug for connecting my Dinc to my computer, I get a VZW prompt to install something. Is that normal? I assumed that I could just browse the contents of my phone (like the SD storage). My goal is to verify that the Titanium Backup and ROM Manager backup files are on my SD card and copy them to my PC.
2. Why does my gmail take so long to receive new email messages now?
3. Is there a list for VZW bloatware somewhere? The auto-tool from Titanium worries me a bit.
