Any time I have flashed roms and mods on my dinc it always takes a long time to reboot right after. booting for the first time in redemption took almost 5 minutes... an eternity if your staring at your phone contemplating whether or not to declare it frozen. Even a simple notification bar icon took the phone over 3 minutes to boot into the home screen. It is always best to just let it do it's thing.
Put the battery back in and power on the phone don't try to get into Hboot, just let it power on. Can you describe and be specific as to what happens?
Well heres what happened. My phone sat for about 10 minutes repeating the bootloader. Thats strange to me because usually it just holds at the end of it. I Pulled the battery then tried turning it on again. I think I remember it going on once more and doing the same thing but Im not sure. If it did then I pulled the battery and tried getting h-boot to no avail. Now it wont display the red charging light or do anything at all
*update* It will flash the h-boot screen for a second then go dark again.
Not displaying the red charging light is not a good sign I'm afraid. I'm thinking a RUU might be your best option at this point. I was helping a guy a few weeks ago who did it blindly and it brought his phone back. It might work for you as well but let me check with Doug Piston and see if he has any ideas.
For now, I'd stop messing with it and save your battery. If you need to do a RUU it's going to take some juice.
Normal booting will not flash the hboot screen. Ever. I am sure what you are seeing is the HTC incredible white screen. Try powering up the device holding the vol- and power buttons.
