How can I install a Rom from downgrade mode?

Hi, I was looking in my phones root folder nd one folder says download>HTC incredible downgrade..does this mean that my phone was rooted nd is currently rooted..I was wondering because I was to just take the downgrade off and install a Rom or something?

Please take the time to restate your comment a bit more carefully. I can't make out what you want to know.

    What person? What downgrade file?

Whatever you're trying to say, which is still pretty opaque, you can revert to stock unrooted state, and then root the phone again and start installing ROMs again.
    Your choice.

Actually, you cannot downgrade and then root the phone if one has accepted the latest OTA- it closed exploits that were previously used to gain root access. Unrevoked should have a workaround for this within the next day or two.

Okay.look..I bought this phone off of eBay....I was looking into my f file on my CPU...nd I saw a download folder containing a downgrade so therefore this phone was rooted but the previous owner put stock back on it..I was wondering if I could get my phone rooted again nd how to...it has 2.1 still on my phone

If it has 2.1 then just run the unrevoked tool. It will root you. From there you can flash a ROM to upgrade to 2.2.

Yes..I've tried unrevoked ..it goes through until it says that its on bootloader and it says make sure drivers are installed..I can't find the drivers..

The stickies are here for a reason. How to upgrade to 2.2 (Froyo) from 2.1 includes a link to how to root once you're at 2.2.
