Rooting stock 2.2 using unrEVOked 3.32 (original Inc only)

I've never seen any postings here from anyone claiming to be part of that team. You might try their web site, but do remember: work on such programs as well as on ROMs is all done by volunteers, and it is considered bad form to press them for something.

So I am guessing that there is no way to root the OG Inc. if it has the latest OTA update? I have not been able to find anything on how to root and install ROMs other than this thread.

Do you know ADB? You can downgrade to 2.2 and root from there.

Thanks! I know this will seem like a silly question. But what is "S-off"? we don't have this on the Fascinate.

s-off means that NAND is unlocked and can be written to. It's permanent root. So in the event that you lose root, s-off will let you flash on a recovery and a rooted ROM, so you essentially would gain root again.

Just to let everyone know, there is a way to successfully root after the 2.3.4 ota update. Just follow the instructions at Finally...Gingerbread RUU (4.08.605.2) - Android Forums it its a simple update, but you must first have rooted 2.2 then applied the ota update to 2.3.4 its a simple and easy process to follow and regain superuser rights. Gingerbread is MUCH smoother on this phone! It's amlost like a new phone after the update!
