I am currently rooted by the old method still running an old jager rom. If someone can just help me with a link to a tutorial for the new root method that would be great. i found the one for the radio tutorial but am having trouble with searching for a good guide for the s-off root. sorry if im not looking in the right places just been a hell of a month and in my down time id love to do some more with my inc

Here is the official page. Make sure to read it all the way through before doing anything!

No, it mostly goes into what you can do with s-off. To flash put it on your sd card and flash like you would any normal rom. This is full root so as long as you don't go deleting things in the /system without knowing what they do, you will be fine.

ahh i guess it just looked more confusing then it really is lol. Im going to do this tonight when im home from work. and i never delete anything until i triple check that it is not needed. so download the file. put it on the root of my sd card. and install from recovery? do i need to do a wipe or anything before hand?

Yep flash like a rom. No wiping is needed. And their wiki can look intimidating but still read through it so you know what is going on.

one more question. since im already rooted i dont need to unroot or anything right? just reroot with the new technique and upgrade the radio to a 2.xx version

With s-off you can flash the 2.xx radio then upgrade to any rom you please. Jager hasn't released anything in awhile though.

ok so root to s-off from the root i already have.. then worry about flashing radio 2.xx and the only reason im still using jager rom to be honest is because it seems most of the newer roms require radio 2.xx and when my phone runs the stock rom i have that fun random reboot problem all the time. havent had a single reboot while running jager. what i would like to try is frankenrom or maybe virtuous

Both are greast roms. With s-off flashing the radio can be done safely and easily. And the new 2.xx radio is the radio big red uses in thier OTA so it is legit.
