sdcard won't mount

My sdcard is unmounted. Titanium won't run under that condition.
Nor can I see anything on the card from Windows when connected with the USB cable and the choice of "disk Dirve", not "charge Only".

Astro File Manager can see all the file names on the card, but cannot delete anything or move anything.

I can't wr4ite anything to the card, or take anything away. What's my next step?

I cleaned the card's contacts with an eraser, just as I have cleaned hundreds of cards in computer slots, and the sdcard is now accessible in all the usual ways.
