sd card died - now I don't have market & others - what to do?

My Kingston 16G class 10 sd card actually physically cracked
and is therefore defunct but they will be replacing it within the week - but I do not have it backed up on my PC
.
I had rooted my Incredible with Unrevoked 3 and had been experimenting with a couple of Froyo ROMs : Cyanogen6 and Skyrider 2.5. and I had just updated my Clockwork Mod Recovery and I had made full use of Apps2sd.
Now, when I put my old SanDisk 2G sd back in, it only had 1 nandroid backup on it and I am back to:
Firmware 2.1
Baseband 2.05.00.06.11
Kernel 2.6.29.....
PRI 1.28
Clockwork Recover 2.5.0.1
and while I still have some apps and my phone and wifi seem to be working fine:
I don't have Market, Rom Manager, Titanium (but I still have SuperUser). Also, when I USB my phone to PC - the PC doesn't see either. At this point, I don't even know if I'm rooted or have busybox.
I'm really puzzled as to what I should do next:
I don't know whether to do a phone restore from Settings or, perhaps from Recovery?
Or, do I want to try reinstalling Rom Manager and one of the Froyo Roms. But would that get me Market back? In all cases I'm gonna have to reinstall most of my apps since most resided (at least partially) on the dead sd. Fortunately appbrain has a record of all my apps. - but, from what I understand, there's no way to install the Market, except via HTC/Google/Verizon.
So, I probably won't have my new 16G card for almost a week and I'm very open to suggestions as to my best plan of attack
I guess I should also think about repartitioning the new sd - according to the recent lag fixes.
Please keep in mind that I'm pretty much command line challenged - so (perhaps foolishly) - I am doing all of this on the phone itself.
I recently downloaded SDK to my PC and I was just getting ready to try to get the hang of adb, the emulator etc - but I'm hoping I can get my phone back to where I had it before I get into that.
Thanx in advance for any help you can provide.

If you dont have the market flash a new rom and gapps. That should get your market back then redl'd all your apps.

Here's my problem. I have not only lost the market but I've lost PC connectivity.
I guess I can remove the sd card from the phone, put it in the sleeve and then stick it in my PCs smart card slot & then transfer the files to be flashed or unzipped?
Right?
I'm just worried what might happen if I do a recovery from settings > privacy > factory data reset or from boot recovery - which looks like it should take me back to Clockwork Recovery?

Ya load a new rom onto the sd by using an sd reader. Then flash in recovery.

Since I've lost PC connectivity. Can I still take my SD card out of my phone and put it in the smart card slot on my PC and transfer the Unrevoked files to the card that way - then replace it in the phone and achieve root that way? If not, why not?
-
Unrevoked files? You dont need ant files from them on there right now. If youve already rooted you should still be fine.
-
I was rooted but I'm not sure I still am. I should know in a few minutes -since I just flashed gapps.
-
You should still be rooted.
-
Nope. Gapps stopped unexpectedly after nI rebooted and the apps aren't there.

If I'm still rooted shouldn't I first run wipe data/factory reset from the clockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 boot?
