    ROMs for Incredible?

Is anyone going to be working on ROMs for the Incredible and are they even going to be able to stabilize this root anytime before I'm able to get my next phone?

The root is perfect stable. They currently do not have permanent NAND access. Before we can do roms we need permanent access to the nand so we can flash recovery. Just be patient. It will happen. Just having root doesnt mean you can instantly start installing roms. There is a lot more of the device that needs to be unlocked before that can happen.

That's what I'm waiting for. I don't see the rush to root right now as it's so limited. I don't need tethering all that badly and I can live with City app and the other fluff for now.

For me it's a race between the devs getting NAND access and custom ROM's up vs HTC getting android 2.2. Too early in that race to pick a side for me.

BTW Jake is claiming he was able to break the NAND locking in the OS and is trying to package a way to apply. I know the guys rep has taken a beating due to the fake rooting stuff but it will be interesting to see if he really has something or is full of it.

I'm aware but he's still taking a lot of heat. He made some very strong claims which he has yet to back up.
