Never rooted droid before. Are hacks to root other droid phones the same and can they be used for the DI or is each phone hack different?

Most phones are different. Some of the HTC models have very similar Models available in Europe they believe there is a root that will work on the DI, but I dont think it has been proven yet.

They will need to root the DI separate and you will use these files to work with. I believe they are really close to getting this done.

Ha ha...you will discover the glory of rooting when the time comes. Many choose not to since it technically does void your warranty, but I just love the options rooting allows. You are probably enjoying that phone as I type

NEVER try to use another phone's hack for the Incredible. It MUST ONLY come from a DI-specific hack.

Even the Droid hacks don't work on the Milestone, and those are practically the same device!
