Boot loop and can't get into recovery
Things were working great and I'd been running a recent CM nightly rom. I'd taken a backup and was considering flashing a more recent nightly but hadn't gotten around to it. Anyway, I was at a friend's house and looking some stuff up on the web, totally ignoring that the battery was about dead..
So the battery died and the phone shut off. After plugging it in and letting it get a little charge, I turned on the phone, only to have it boot a few seconds after the white screen comes up that says HTC Incredible. I could get into hboot, but selecting recovery results in the same boot loop.
Although I have an SLCD model, I was able to blindly flash the engineering .77 hboot, allowing me to use fastboot commands. However, repeated attempts to flash various backups, then put hboot .92 back on, still results in boot loops.
What options do I have?

Try flashing on a new recovery. Download it here, http://dougpiston.com/files/Recovery...od-3.0.0.8.zip. Rename to PB31IMG and copy your your card. Power on your phone using Vol+ and Power buttons.

I've tried flashing all sorts of recoveries. I've also tried using fastboot to flash my backup img files..

If you made your recovery images with 0.92 HBOOT, they won't work with HBOOT .77. Different partition sizes. Did you try to do a RUU from Doug Piston's site?

Yup, I used the PB31IMG RUU, and it's still in the same spot.

I would flash it back to a stock image and reroot

Whenever mine went into boot loop it still let me boot into safe mode (hold down the volume down button AFTER it starts turning on).
