Kid,
I "sync" with a Mac Book Pro. I mean by this is I connect the cable and get the error message disk is unreadable. I select the option ignore. On the DInc I select disk Drive and hit done. iPhoto will then launch most of the time because of the photos I may have taken. You will see Card and Internal in the left panel as devices I believe. When I exit iPhoto, I have 2 disks mounted on my desktop in the right hand side. Double click and you should pull up Finder with the drive contents displayed.
Then just move stuff around as you would any drive or flash card.
I sync with GMail and also use their calendar. It makes it easier to keep the info up to date. I have tried Missing Sync but it did not back up all the data. I use MyBackUp Pro and copy everything to SD Card @ 3:00 am automatically.
The disk I believe is for a PC and is of no use to you with the Mac.
I also turned off PC Sync in the settings because I believe it is not needed.
Hope this helps

I am getting the HTC Incredible on Tuesday. They are replacing my Droid 2 with the Incredible as they have replaced the "2" 3 times. Time for a different phone!
I really need to sync my calendar on my MacBook Pro to my phone.
I am not comfortable using the "Google" solution.
Any specific suggestions?
Looking forward to a "new" Droid experience. Just need my calendar!
