Can you use ringtones as notifications for incoming Text Messages??
All the message notifications available are either a short tone or a couple of tones. Is it possible to load in a ringtone to use as a text message notification???
I can get the ringtones into the music - unknown artist - songs - download area .... but I can't move them into the Message settings - Notification Sound area???
Thanks in advance!

Create a folder on your SD Card or internal storage called notifications. Copy whatever you want to use to that folder and they will show up in the list.

Yeah. You can also use 3rd party apps like tone picker or something like ring tone creator. I recommend tone picker as a free app.

That is what I use, it works well. Or you can also try Ringtones by Mabilo Android Team. With that application you'll be able to browse thousands of songs and set them as ringtones or notifications, and assign them to certain contacts. Try it out and let us know.

Ring Droid is another. And I haven't looked at it myself, but from descriptions, Handcent might do what you're talking about also.

Using your provided charger, disconnect the wall charging end. You will see a USB plug. Plug that end into your computer and the other end to your phone.
Once you connect, via "Disk Drive" you will be able to create a folder
Why do ppl call our phones, "Dinc?" Makes it sound like a puny crappy phone or a sound effect when you flick something
You have Android now. Stop whining and complaining that iphone was easy/better... why the hell did you switch for?
If youre going to change phones, be sure you're able to accept "CHANGE" and yes thats a change in how things are done. Its plain and simple
Btw, have a nifty day! (^_^)
Now... wheres my beer???
