text messages voiced when recieved
Is there a way for the DINC to read out loud the message received as a text? When I had the LG dare and would receive a text message the voice feature would say out what the message said for exmpl " when will you be home " so I would hear the message and not have to read if. Really nice feature when you are driving. Anybody know if this is on the phone or an app that would do this feature?

Go to the market and search for the "Talkback" app. Is that the thing you are talking about?

I have TalkBack installed, but I don't see how to make it read aloud an incoming message. ??

Doesn't Vlingo do it too , along with a bunch of other stuff?

So you want it to read the messages after you receive them? I believe handcent has text to speech but I haven't played around with it. Hopefully someone that has can chime in on that.

You have to open the text and menu to speak it on handcent.
I have it on Ringo and whoisit but neither were free and I don't use it.I had Vlingo and it has it and is free

I use Ringo Pro and it has the option to read the texts out load when you get them or to have the message pop up with the option to read, close or have it speak it. It gives the the option of setting different ringtones for all your contacts for texts not just voice calls. I used it on my Palm Centro too and I've never had any problems with it. It is a paid app, but I think it is well worth it.

Ringo is cool , one of the first apps I got last September and I still use it frequently.
Whoisit isn't as flashy and costs less but does more.

I used Ringo before, it is pretty cool but I ended up not installing it when I rooted my phone.

Drivesafley.com will read texts and emails as you receive them.
