3G Mobile Hotspot, Free or Not?

I have thats why I posted. My wife pays for her hotspot limited at 2 gig pays if she goes over. I am rooted use wifi tether I have gone over verizions 2 gig data and have paid extra for it. I wish I was unlimited.

Does anyone know if this method works on other Verizon phones aside from the HTC Droid Incredible series?

I've followed this post from the beginning, I have been able to enjoy my ##778 mod until now. I had a malfunction with my inc 2, did a factory default reset and set everything back up the way it had always been. Turn on my hot spot and watch my 3G got to 1x and have not been able to surf the net with my lap top at all. Does anyone have any ideas as to why after a reset it doesn't work? I went back into ##778, removed the DUN setting but now it just doesn't work. Is the a fix? An update I need to find and down load or one I need to some how remove?
