The new update doesn't include much by way of improvements unless you use a POP3 e-mail account. Most people would recommend you just ignore it or install a ROM that has the features baked in.

Same situation as Kojot0976, though I do use a POP3 e-mail account. Is it worth it for me?

I'm new to this myself, but I suppose the answer is to unroot and go back to stock, then let the OTA install, then re-root with Unrevoked. The tool has been updated to 3.22, and I used it to root and S-Off the new OTA last night.

Don't bother with the update unless you want a 5MB cap on email attachments, your battery life to decease slightly, your charging time to decrease slightly, more Verizon bloatware
I didn't have a size limit in my Verizon emails until after the update and never had apps force close that are acting up now. Even Sense needs to force close sometimes now
