Text Message Acknowledge Receipt ?

This may have been covered and if so I apologize. I tried searching. Is there an acknowledgement receipt available to know when/that a text has been delivered ? On my old phone there was a icon that changed state to let me know that the text was delivered to the recipient.

with the default messaging app. under settings theres a delivery report option

Thank you for the reply ! I had seen that but was hoping that there was a better indication than having a report delivered for each sent text.
