Seconded. I'd also like to know what guide you followed. I used Unrevoked 3.22 to root the NOV OTA 2 nights ago, and it was flawless.

I'm confused. I went to the unrevoked site (unrevoked3 recovery reflash tool, v3.22) and downloaded 3.22 The file has the same name and identical version number (1.2.0.715) as the file I downloaded on 11/21/2010 but it is .2mb larger.
Is this file designed to root my OTA updated Droid Incredible without turning it into a brick? I love this phone and really don't want to make a stupid mistake. I almost bricked it the first time but fortunately it self recovered.

I think I'll wait for something better. I'm still nervous. The tutorial makes it seem a bit risky for SCLD.

It's perfectly safe for SLCD devices. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

If a person is skittish about rooting, I wouldn't push them to root. It's not for everybody.
