moble network shutting off

not sure if anyone else is having this problem but i will pull my phone out to check the weather or jump on the web and it will not connect, when i check my setting it says turning on mobile network but it will not turn on and in order to get it to reconnect i have to shut the phone off and turn it back on and everything will start working again.....

Have you tried airplane mode vs turning it completely off?
My 3g network has been lousier than normal lately but its not my phone as its affecting all 5 phones on my account.

I have had the exact same thing happen. It started after I did the Froyo update although this could be coincidence. There is no correlation with 3G signal strength, this afternoon it happened when I had 3 bars. At this point I have to shut it down 1-2 times a day. I called Verizon about this and was told they had no record of this complaint from others and that they recommend doing a re-boot once a day. At this rate once a day won't do it.

i dont think it is a coincidence, i never had this problem before the update!

I too have this problem so I bought and furnished power control plus from the market. It has a 3g toggle button, and whenever it turns off now I just press it back on!
