Waiting for reviews?
I am crazy excited about this phone, it will very likely be my first smartphone, having used a Razr for the past 6 years. I was initially hoping for a Nexus One, and I still think it's the coolest phone out right now, but it just sounds like the hardware is in the A-/B+ range, you know? Maybe the issues with daylight viewing and underpowered speakers are exaggerated, but the touchscreen issue... geez. I know there's a ROM to fix it, but all told I'd rather wait for the Nexus 2 or 3 down the road.
Anyway, most people seem to think that the Incredible won't have any of these issues, that it's pretty much the Nexus 1.1 and will live up to its lofty name. But... what if it's got some stupid flaw?
I realize no phone is perfect but I almost expect this phone to be and if it's not then I will be (perhaps unrealistically) disappointed. I almost don't WANT to read any reviews before I get to check it out myself, but I probably will.
What do y'all think? Will you be bursting through the doors to buy it, or will you want to read a few hands-on reviews first?

Please the touch screen issues are just exaggerated I've owned a eris and the touchscreen tech isn't as good as a iphones but is very good otherwise.
Lots of people recommend the nexus one over the iphone so I say this thing is a definite go for Verizon users wanting a good experience.

Yeah
Actually I am completely sold on the Incredible, I read that it's basically a pimped-out version of the HTC Desire, and one of my favorite sites says the Desire is already bad ass:
HTC Desire
I'm in love.

Fact...the screen will be difficult to see in sunlight. This is just the nature of these types of screens, but they are very nice otherwise. Not really an issue to me since I personally think my beloved Droid is bad in sunlight. As for hardware issues, I would imagine that items other HTC phones suffered would have been addressed. I bet it is going to be a great phone
Also....I agree. I read/watched a few comparisons of the Incredible to the Desire and it just made the next couple of weeks seem like years. I am so wanting to get my hands on this phone. At the same time, I don't want to put the phone on such a high pedestal that it has no way of living up to my expectations. I imagine there will be some issues and to think otherwise would be naive. Still going to be a nice phone.
