Anyone notice their speaker for the ring tones being to quiet?

I am trying to figure out if this is how the phone is supposed to be if I got a lemon...

I put some ring tones on my phone and it seems really quiet when it rings and I have the volume turned all the way up. Does anyone else here have the same issue with their phone?

Do you move the phone or have it in your pocket? There's a setting for ringtones to quiet down when you move the phone.

I unchecked that option, it just seems like it doesn't ring loud IDK, just to me it rings quiet for being on the loudest setting..

I noticed that it seemed real quiet, too. I could hear my Blackberry ring in my purse in a noisy store. I just turned off the "quiet on movement" or whatever it's called. We'll see what that does.

Did you try the stock ringtones on full volume. If the stock ringtones are quiet on high volume, then your phone is defective.

Actually an easier way to do it than that without downloading anything new. Put the songs you want for a ringtone on your phone via microSD or internal memory. Open the song on the HTC media player on the phone. Select menu at the bottom. You'll see an option to use the song for a ringtone. There's even an option there to clip the part of the song you want to use. Works like a charm.
