Print Screen/ Picture of what's on the screen?

Is there anyway to take a picture of whats on the screen of my incredible at any point? I just switched from the iphone and you could do this by pressing the home button and the power button at the same time. I use this feature alot, hopefully I can do this with my new incredible.

Requires root. There will be apps once root is achieved

coming from a blackberry myself, I was able to do the same thing. However, my app was not native to the blackberry. I don't understand why there wouldn't be an app already developed that can do screen shots without having to root.

Unfortunately it requires root access (hacking your phone like Jailbreaking) so no there is no way to do this currently.

Actually, if you download the android sdk, you can use DDMS to take screen shots. I will try to post up a walkthrough to do this, tomorrow. But for now search DDMS for android and there is probably a write up somewhere already.

    NO ROOT NEEDED

that is correct... i used to do this alot with the ddms file on the android sdk when i had the nexus one for a short period of time and its actually not that bad of a process to do. i think instructions are on nexusoneforum.net

i think there were instructions for either mac or pc users and it beats downloading theme apps. just can't remember the process but i know it was easy on my mac. just search for "screenshots"

Seems like too much effort just to be able to take screenshots
