what is the file structure? I just looked at a completely stock incredible and it has as emmc folder but no cache folder in it.
EDIT: there is also a cache file but it has nothing in it.

Well I seem to be an idiot and this won't be as easy as I thought. Im going to flash stock recovery until someone or myself gets a hold of this thing.
what do you mean? is the file not called update or something?
This is ridiculous they (htc or Verizon I don't really care) should put the update on their website so you can email a link to yourself or just make a sync file...this is crazy. Ota only? who does that.
STAY ROOTED!!
They don't have it up for a number of reasons. 1) to monitor the rollout and if problems develop, stop it where it is. Very smart move. 2) if they had it for general download, there could be a mass exodus to download it and crash their servers.
It isn't a grand conspiracy to irritate customers. There are a number of very legitimate reasons not to have it listed up there yet. After the roll out, they may put it up for download, but for right now, I agree with their decision to control the information and prevent problems.
I agree that there are legitimate reasons, but the power users always want to get their hands on it one way or another. I'm still hoping someone will see this and post the file here, although I did notice that someone on xda's forums delayed the install and said they couldn't find the file. Hopefully it was just an oversight.
Edit: There's also this route which I've blatantly stolen from the xda forums:
1. When/if you see the notification that you have an update available -- stop everything and run the aLogcat app.
2. Send the log file to yourself via email (that's built into the app)
Look through the log file on your computer, searching for a URL
3. Try any URL's that you find on your computer's browser
When you find one that downloads a zip file, save the zip file to your computer
4. Shout from the rooftops, and share that URL
5. Upload and mirror it somewhere

Yes a logcat is a great idea, but i felt most would say what is a logcat. So I just flashed recovery and was going to look for it myself.
