Well I have my new Incredible, Google, map question

I've had my new Incredible 3 days now, and I'm still liking it, a change from the iPhone, but after dealing with AT&T for 2 years it was a marriage that was doomed.

Now my question, on the Google maping program on directions, it does not show the local transit company (bus) schedules, on the iPhone it did,and I think they are both using Google maps.

It says no transit information found for my city (Vancouver,Washington),which is weird because the loved/hated iphone did have this transit information.

Am I missing something somehow?

Did you get the update? Check and see if there is an update to the MAPs app and see if that works.

OK, so we have 2 new HTC Incredible phones in the house, the Other Phone, had a MAP update from Google, I never received any updates on my phone. How do I check for a updated mapping program??

So I just looked at my Phone, it' showing Version 4.4.0 (#4414) on the mapping program

Is that the latest?

Go to market, hit menu, select downloads (I know maps came loaded, but it will be there), if there is an update available, it'll say update available next to maps.

I just checked my phone, and I have the same version as you.

There also may be a transit app available for your area. May try a search in the market if the Google maps things doesn't pan out.

Yeah that is the latest version. I was playing around with mine and it seems that it only shows transit routes in blue in major metropolitan areas. I was looking at Vancouver WA and saw nothing like you said but jump across the river into Portland and you see all the transit lines in blue with various stops. I live in a rural town in Northern CA and it doesn't show stops for me either however if I map out directions and choose to use transit transportation it does give me directions and what bus to catch and times. There are various bus schedule apps in the market as well that may help.

So why would I have the transit information for Vancouver,Washington on my recently killed off iPhone, but not on my HTC Incredible?

I was just exploring Google Maps on my computer, it gives a much better picture of what is covered, but the answer I found is Google Maps does not cover Clark County Washington (Vancouver),,,but my iPhone did cover it, I wonder what is different about the mapping programs??

Did you try mapping out directions and using the transit only option?

Yes, I tried mapping and using transist, it shows not avaible for my area, weird because the iPhone did have it, I thought the iPhone and the Incredible were both using Google maps,so they would be the same.
