Volume for individual contacts

I am a new Droid user coming from a BB Storm. I love it so far except for one feature I can't find that I really need.

I need to be able to silence my phone but still have certain people's calls and messages make sound. On the Storm all I had to do was go in to the settings for call volume and make settings for certain people. I have heard of one app that will allow me to set ringer volume for individuals but would not help with messages. I unfortunately need alerts for both calls and messages from certain people, but to silence the phone from all other calls/messages.

Can someone point me to an app/setting which will allow me to accomplish this?
