Offical 2.2 "Froyo" Has Been Leaked

Maybe this belongs in the hacks section (I'll leave that to the mods) but I thought everyone would be interested to hear that the official froyo has been leaked. I was skeptical at first but this just about confirms that Verizon will be releasing Froyo soon. Some of the new additions being reported from XDA:

HTC Flashlight, FM Radio widget, Calculator widget, SMS widget, Sync all widget, profile widgets, 3g mobile hotspot, genie widget, App sharing program, messaging app changed a bit, 720p recording, built in flash on camcorder, and more stuff that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I'm with you. I am totally tearing at the seams waiting for all these updates. I'm hoping that PDAnet or someone similar will release a way to use the mobile hotspot for free without having to root. Only other root feature I wanted was the flashlight which it sounds is already being added.

I've gotten so used to having the car charger and putting it on charge when I'm in the office, I actually am not dying for this one. It will be great if they fix it, but the wifi hotspot is what Im' dying for to get my iPad connectability complete. Yes, I know I can root and do that, but I also know my luck lately and ain't no way I'm gonna try rooting at the moment. ROFL

You and me both. I was just going to go to bed and decided to jump in and take a quick peek at the forum and sure enough I find this thread on the leaked Froyo update!
