Froyo update - Quiet

With the talk of the Froyo update that is supposed to hit our Incredible's the last week of July or first week in August, it sure got quiet on the forums and the net. Just thought there would be more talk or an actual confirmation from either Verizon or HTC.

I think only until the update is up and running OTA there will be any commotion on the Internet. Until then it is just speculation on exactly when the update comes up. BTW, a couple weeks my Samsung Intensity had an OTA update and I didn't know of it until I got a text message from Verizon.

What i'm getting at is last week we were going to get an update, and it was supposedly stopped due to HTC and Verizon were going to just due the whole Froyo update. There were even Verizon Techs that confirmed this was going to happen last week in July or First week in August. Then...another Verizon tech stated they don't even get that kind of advance information. There was alot of buzz on the forums and net regarding this and it has all but stopped. Just was wondering pretty much if it was going to happen or not? As quiet as everything is i'm kinda leaning toward not.

The update we were supposed to get the other week to give use 720 is just being combined with the froyo update so were only gonna have 1. That works with me.

So what?
Why a new thread about a non-event?

When VZW pumps out some changes OTA, you'll know about it, I'll know about it, then we can (and surely will) analyze and evaluate what changed.
Until then, what is there to discuss?

I was only discussing the rumor, and if anyone knows anything more about it due to the quietness everywhere.

King, you didn't launch a discussion at all. You simple said that talk about any upgrade had died down. You asked no question, invited no comment. You had no new information to add; thus I asked what the point of your post might be.

And yet others did respond and gave their insight to the comment that I made. I was just bringing up the rumor that everyone was talking about not too long ago. Maybe just maybe someone might of heard something and would share. And if no one has, then I made my point, and that being, it has died down. No I didn't ask it as a question, just brought it up.

OK, I've seen enough pissing match and borderline pissing match threads tonight. Everybody please calm down. I understand its hot in basically every corner of the country, apparently, but lets not bring our irritation to the forums please.
