Give Me A Suggestion Please?
Ok I am a AVID texter currently using an enV Touch. I have alot of interest in the Droid Incredible, but I'm also interested in the Droid 2. The Original Droid is out of the question because of its terrible keyboard, but I hear alot of rumors saying that the Droid 2 keyboard is much improved. Originally i was totally sold on the Dinc, I've done so much research it feels like i own the phone, I REALLY LIKE THE DINC. And I'm also familiar with HTC Sense because my Mom has the Hero. Please Help, I need some clarification.

What exactly do you need clarification on if you really like the D INC?

Coming from a Touch Pro 2 I have not had any issue with the V-keyboard on my Dinc. Even so the difference between them is nothing short of amazing. My wife has the nv-touch and you will love going to the Dinc

I still think they should have put space between the buttons for people with bigger fingers.

I was just skeptical because the enV's keyboard is awesome and i didn't want to be disappointed with the Dinc's touch keyboard, when I could have had the Droid 2 keyboard.

I had the Voyager previously and really enjoyed having a physical keyboard. I was nervous switching to the DInc because of the soft keypad and my fat fingers, but my worries were for naught. Just make sure you calibrate it. I can use it just as fast as anything else and keep the light and slim profile of the DInc in my pocket.

No issues with my DInc. I use ShapeWriter as the keyboard and it is very smooth and easy to use.
Previous phones - Samung Omnia and Alias. I liked the Alias for the keyboard but got tired of the flip and the Omnia was never very compliant regarding any functionality. The DInc wins hands down.

The Dinc was my first soft keypad phone (Treo before) . The first few weeks were a bit rough, had to backspace a lot and primarily used landscape view, wondered if I made the right decision sometimes. But now I have no problem with the Dinc keyboard at all in either view. With any device change there will be a learning curve for things like this and it just gets better with time. I am very glad I made the plunge to not having a physical keyboard. Only time I still miss the physical keyboard is texting while driving (I have to look at the letters now) but since that is illegal in my state I consider it a good thing.

I would just go to the nearest store/kiosk and try it out for yourself. Also there's a 30-day refund period so if you don't like it, return it.

Personally, I have four different keyboards installed on my dinc. I came from a blackberry but also had an LG Dare previously and so I was experienced with soft keys already. I can switch between the swype keyboard if I know I need more one handed ability, the multi touch droid x keyboard, the native htc keyboard, or swift key...there's something valuable in all of them, but ultimately swype and multi touch are the two I use most. Just play with them a while and you'll find one that you are comfy with. You don't get that many options with phones with the hard keyboards.
