3rd tip of the day: Ever wonder what is using the most battery power on your phone?
Easy as.. Settings -> about phone -> battery -> battery use
This lists what is using the most battery power. Now, be aware that it may say that something is using 80% of your battery. That is not necessarily something to be concerned about. If you have only used 2% of your battery and are sitting at 98% then what ever is taking up 80% battery is only using 80% of the 2% you have used.
Ok...tough to explain, but it is only telling you what is being used on drainage you have so far. It can help you if you see that the screen is eating up 70% or wifi is using up 50%. Just adjust accordingly and see some battery life benefits.
Do NOT think you need to run a task killer. They are not useful and can actually kill your battery.
I know this can be confusing for some so please pm me if you have any questions
Mike
p.s. there are also some nice free battery widgets out there. I personally like "battery left". It calibrates itself based on your use and will give you a true reading of how much battery you have left.

You believe in the people more than I do. They will be suckered in or just be used to something they had to do with their non linux based system. Besides, the market is full of task killers saying you need me LOL. I say 3 out of 10 will listen.

Here's a tip I'd like to throw out there, it helped me out yesterday after I let my friend (who's mind is in the gutter apparently) play with my phone:
If you use the stock Google Search widget, you'll notice that whenever you search for something it remembers it and conveniently lists it below the search box whenever you go to use it again. After a while you'll get a big list of things you previously searched for. Well, sometimes you don't want that stuff showing up. Here's the only way I've found to clear the list. Click menu when your on the home screen then settings>applications>manage applications>Quick Search Box then tap clear data. There you have it. This should come in handy if you're a neat freak or need to clean up your friends dirty work.
