Ford SYNC system and Google Navigation
I have a 2009 Ford F-150 with the SYNC system. I recently made a long road trip using my Google Navigation on the DInc, and it worked just ok. However, I did find some flaws. In the beginning of the trip, I was playing Pandora through BT to my SYNC system and the directions she read out were fine. I was in Aux mode, by the way. However, when Pandora was boring me I kept BT enabled for hands free calls and turned on the radio. When the time came for her to read me a direction, it didn't say anything over either set of speakers. Needless to say, I had to pull a U turn. So, I figured I would try another route. This time, I turned off BT and she decided to give me directions again through the DInc speakers. I don't understand why I would have to put my SYNC system into Aux just to listen to her give me directions. It breaks in fine for phone calls, why can't it do the same for directions? I even played with the setting under the Navigation menu about connecting to BT devices and that didn't help at all. Is anyone else experiencing the same problems? Any ideas to correct this?

Mine does the same thing...so I am going to assume its just the way it works. The navigation plays through either the phone speaker or the headphone if plugged in (aux cable) it does not give instructions through bluetooth I assume its a limitation in the navigation software. I am sure they could do it the way you want but at the same time if you were on a call it would interrupt your call. ON the other hand I think mine will play the navigation instructions through the external speaker with bluetooth on...but not if the aux cable is plugged in then you won't hear it if you are listening to the radio. Hope that makes sence i'm a little tired still.

Thanks! At least I wasn't the only one!
