I'm sure this is posted already but to get the best method I figured I would start a new and my first post...
I currently have a windows mobile phone with all my contacts and calendar in Outlook 2007. I want to get away from outlook and put everything into Gmail and my Verizon Incredible phone that is arriving today
. How do I do this???
Thanks In Advance!

There is an app that will sync outlook with gmail. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it so you may try a google search. Once you do this your phone will automatically sync all your contacts.

After a little reading it looks like you can export the contacts to a .csv file and import them into gmail. And for the calender you can export that file and import it into google calendar as well!

Good deal. I know there is an app that does this though. Not a android market one, but something on the outside. Either way...once you get them to your gmail you will never have to worry about them again with Android.

Wasn't touchdown, although this would do it from an exchange account. It was another app designed just for this. I don't use outlook for my contacts so I cannot recall what it is.

google sync may be the program you are referring to.. you install it on your PC and it will sync outlook contacts and calendar to your online google calendar/contacts.

Google Calendar Sync is free and will sync the Outlook calendar, but you have to be using the paid or educational version of Google Apps for contacts sync. As noted above, it's easy to export Outlook contacts into a .csv and then import into Google, but this is more of a one-time migration, not a true sync.
CompanionLink offers a product that can sync contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and the Incredible. It runs $39.95, but there is a 14-day free trial. At the very least, you can use the trial to easily migrate your Outlook contacts over to the phone. CompanionLink supports the new Outlook 2010 64-bit as well. More info over at www.companionlink.com/phones/htc-incredible.html

Why not HTC Sync? It will sync contacts and calendar.
