    Disable Menu Button On Lockscreen?

Anyone know how to disable the menu button on the Lockscreen? I heard it was an option setting in the Eris but I don't see that anywhere.

are you talking about how the menu button unlocks? that bugs me too, so i just added a pattern lock to make it difficult to unlock. but disabling the menu botton would be great.

Yea, I just don't like the pattern lock. I haven't found that the menu button has caused any problems, I just figure I want the lock screen to actually lock everything. Still just a small thing that can be overlooked for now.

I think he means that in order for it to unlock with the menu button, your finger has to touch it. If you aren't familiar with these devices, the touch screen and the four touch sensitive buttons will only work if it is touched by your finger. The screen is not resistive so you shouldn't be able to unlock it accidently while in your pocket. I have an LG Dare which has a stinking resistive touch screen so it unlocks all the time in my pocket. All it needs is a small amount of pressure on the tap to unlock icon. This is not as big as a problem on this phone because the only way to unlock it is by sliding your finger down on the bar when the screen is on or tapping the home button when the screen is on. In no way should you be able to unlock accidently in your pocket! unless your pockets are really thin and the phone senses your leg.

Yeah it shouldnt be a problem of unlocking in your pocket. The menu unlock just makes it easier to unlock while driving.

good to know. i figure it would be so easy to unlock with menu in the pocket. the pattern lock is a pain now i can disable that.
