You should post the follow up article as well as the original LOL. Here is the procedure which has fixed this for many people. Have I solved my Droid Incredible storage problem? | ZDNet Basically its a cache problem... apparently mainly with Peep, but possibly also other HTC programs. Try the procedure they outline in this article and see if it helps, post results here!

Had the blasted "memory low" alarm come up today. After reading all the various articles/threads I concur with several that HTC Mail seems to be the primary culprit at least in my case. I have made enough space to clear the error for now, however even with my mail accounts deleted & the data clear it stills shows over 75mb in use.
I'll report to HTC/Verizon in the morning but hope to keep it up long enough for a fix without having to do a factory reset. Otherwise I'll reset and not re-activate Mail, FriendStream or Peep (which I had stopped using anyway.
I must say this bug is a royal PITA though and caused me to lose a days use and who knows how many SMS/MMS messages.
Hurry up HTC & acknowledge & then fix this...

Well I guess it had to happen, memory issue again, then it "threw a rod" went into startup loop from HTC ---->Verizon login, until I had to do a hard reset, F...ing phone. WTF any ideas???

not much you can do now but after that hard reset DO NOT use the default mail app. How many email accounts did you have on it? There are settings in the mail app that can minimize this from happening but i decided not to even chance that and tried a free mail app called maildroid--->problem solved until HTC fixes this. I was actually hoping they would give us an update soon from HTC and then the promised 2.2 by xmas.

So your thought is that the HTC Mail app is the issue... I use exchange, gmail and personal email... Does this app "maildroid" accept exchange and if so should all my mail be deleted form HTC and redone through this app?

If people used ATK and closed apps when they arent using them, no one would EVER have this issue. Also, ur phone will run 2x - 3x faster!!!!!!!

I agree. After two hard resets I now keep ATK on my front page and routinely kill apps before turning off now. Since this and occasionally cleaning caches out..no more problem and more speed!

I have been under the impression that the common knowledge from most senior level members is that ATK's are not necessary and a waste of time and space...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is what I have followed from day one on these sites. I've had them in the past, and have since deleted them during one of my many redos of this blasted phone...
