I have had my HTC Incredible for a year. For the past 3 months or so, when my programs automatically update, I get a message saying that it could not be saved to my SD Card. What gives? Anybody else having this problem? Any advice as to what to do?![]()

I have had my HTC Incredible for a year. For the past 3 months or so, when my programs automatically update, I get a message saying that it could not be saved to my SD Card. What gives? Anybody else having this problem? Any advice as to what to do?![]()
No i never had such problem, in fact it never asked me as to where it was saving the updates. However, i know one thing that mostly such things are usually saved in phone memory. Its like PC, whatever software you install in other drive rather than C, some directories or portions of that software files do goes in your windows folder therefore its always preferable to install executable files in your C drive. Similarly, updates have files which is better if stored in phone memory rather than SD card.
No, I store as much as I can on my SD card. If a game is stored on the SD card, then naturally the update will go to the SD card as well - or it should. But I keep getting a message that this cannot be done. The phone used to do it with no problems. My SD card is nearly empty so that is not the issue.
UPDATE: I was finally able to install the latest update - Android 2.3.4 Build 4.08.605.2. Since that time I have had no problems with things saving to my SD card. The above issue must have been related to the old version I had on my phone.
